Derek Yan joined KraneShares in August 2015. Derek’s responsibilities include evaluating investment opportunities, formulating investment strategies, and providing in-depth portfolio research. He is also involved in the portfolio management and trading execution process and is a leading expert in index construction.

Throughout his career, Derek has been focusing on providing insightful research and investment strategies. He previously worked for Asset Management Association of China (AMAC) where he developed global macro research for institutional clients including sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, investment companies and insurance companies.

Derek received a Masters of Business Analytics degree concentrated in quantitative analysis and finance from the McCallum School of Business at Bentley University and a Bachelor of Economics degree from Peking University.
